Tammy Hoy is a Toronto-based Senior Design Editor at The Canadian Press working with design and layout for various news publications across Canada. She specializes in producing deadline-driven content and has won various awards for her work in news-related media.
Hoy is also a self-taught photographer. Her exploration of forgotten spaces has been the foundation of her photographic career. Seeking beauty in the old and decrepit, she is enchanted by our forgotten past.
Tammy's work has appeared in various leading publications, ranging from The Toronto Star and The Globe and Mail to JPG Magazine, John's Hopkins University Carey Business School Magazine and most recently Maisonneuve.
Tammy has worked in the media and arts industry since 1994 and is an acting judge for the annual Ontario Newspaper Awards.
She has exhibited in the U.S. and Canada including Toronto's CONTACT photography festival since 2005 and is currently represented by Toronto's Latitude 44 Gallery.
